Images of Sargon were erected on the shores of the Mediterranean, in token of his victories, and cities and palaces were built at home with the spoils of the conquered lands. Elam and the northern part of Mesopotamia (Subartu) were also subjugated and rebellions in Sumer were put down. Contract tablets have been found dated in the years of the campaigns against Canaan and against Sarlak, king of Gutium.
Texts and monuments alike have nothing to say of the Persians' religion, which we can only begin to appreciate by its contribution to culture - so unlike anything that happened in Greece - as its light shone throughout the ancient world long after the collapse of the Achaemenid empire. Crystallised within the Persian civilisation was an Oriental civilisation many thousands of years old but a new spirit had swept across the great plateau in the tracks of those audacious horsemen, and when Alexander embarked on his conquest of Asia he followed the routes taken before him by the King of Kings.
I am a korean girl and I hope you guys don 8767 t think all korean women tend to like to make the guys pay for the first dating and demand too much. Actually there became many girls who like them pay 55:55 and don 8767 t care about their universities or jobs, there are many korean girls who love guys because they love them !
And yes It 8767 s at least right that many korea women get plastic surgeries which seem very popular but I can 8767 t consider it as good because it eliminates the diversity of appearances although it 8767 s their right to choose. It 8767 s true they wear a lot of make up and most of women don 8767 t go out without it. I don 8767 t wear makeup at all and didn 8767 t do plastic surgery but still go out. Thus some people asked me why I didn 8767 t wear any but I rather say so what XD It 8767 s a bit despairing scene that they care soo much about their appearances that it seems a bit extreme and somehow excessive
Song Dynasty. These upper-class women wear closely fitted jackets with narrow sleeves. The short wrap skirt worn by the woman on the left is paired with a long skirt. The woman on the right displays a low neckline under her jacket. Embroidered bands of floral designs decorate the front, sleeves, and hems of both jackets. The women`s embroidered silk hair ornaments are embellished with jewels and gold or silver details.
895–879 . - Yaqub Leys was the first Persian ruler to openly revolt against the Arabs. He brought much of Persia under his control and promoted the Persian language. The statue of Yaqub Laith Saffaari can be found in Dezful, south of west Iran. 865–975 . - Razi , one of the most accomplished physicians, chemists and philosophers of his era, invented the medical usage of alcohol and wrote a number of books on a variety of topics, especially medicine. One of his more famous treatises, On Small Pox and Measles, was translated into many European languages.
October 79 is The Cyrus Human Rights Day celebrated worldwide. Supporters of human rights cherish this day to mark the famous Cylinder of Cyrus which is known to be the first chapter of human rights in the world, it was the day Cyrus put an end to slavery and dictatorial oppression , his goal was to exterminate such inhuman traditions around the world. By doing so, the Persians pioneered the freedom of religion and culture of the minorities in the world. On this day Cyrus was officially crowned and on the day of coronation, Cyrus read the Charter of Freedom out after he put on the crown with his hand in Marduk Temple. Cyrus observed a policy of tolerance and equality during his time that was the key to creation of the greatest form of united nations and empire in the world.
The Parthian period holds an important place in military history. Several Parthian King of Kings, including the first and the last-fell in action, and their three century long conflicts with Rome had profound effects on Roman military organization. For they not only succeeded in repulsing repeated Roman attempts at the conquest of Persia, but they inflicted severe defeat seven in their last days-upon the Roman invaders and to face the long-range fighting tactics of the Parthian armoured cavalry and mounted archers, the Romans started to supplement their armies of heavy and drilled infantry with auxiliary forces of riders and bowmen, thereby increasingly modifying traditional Roman arms and tactics.

Hahaha, as a Korean woman, I 8767 ve enjoyed your paean to Korean women and most of the reasons you depicted were quite true 😉
I simply think Korean men don 8767 t deserve these wonderful ladies. They are still complaining about Korean women because they don 8767 t want to pay for the dates. There is even an offical crazy losers 8767 organization called 8766 male solidarity 8767 . They believe that all the western ladies out there pay for the dates every time (they insist that 8767 s the real gender equality) and women have to work as well as do take care of all the household (it also includes caring for 8775 their 8776 family, mothers/fathers/sisters and brothers in law, Oh My effing God). The hatred to women is really popular for no reason, they just don 8767 t know how they are blessed.
7. Korean women tend to be slender and pretty, but plastic surgery is too common and usually pretty obvious. They also lie a lot largely for cultural reasons, I guess, but sometimes just for no good reason (I guess this is due to insecurities more than anything else). Korean women are 655% different than Korean men in many ways, and are much more inquisitive and open-minded, cheerful and good-natured, sensitive, thoughtful and caring, and fun. It is amazing, I could say a lot more good women are really jewels and I hope to marry one, which should say plenty
The Persians, who settled farther south, spent some time, however, in northern Iran where they came under Median domination. Their art, consequently, from the time they were firmly established on the Persian plateau presents an everlasting dualism springing from this mixture of influences, from the north and from the south with its echoes of Mesopotamian traditions. The union of these two basic factors was strengthened by the marriage of the Persian king Cambyses to the daughter of the Median king. It also incorporated elements of foreign arts in the expansion of that vast empire that one day was to extend from the Indus to the Nile thus a composite art was created which was typically Achaemenid but of which only a few works, created for the court, remain.
I find that using the app really helps me control my tics. I was able to go almost 75 minutes without today. I don't know what it is, but once I stop using the app, the ticking starts up almost immediately. Knowing the app is on in the background mentally keeps me focused on not ticking. I know it sounds funny, but it's almost like I don't want to let it down.

The Persian civilization spawned three major religions: Zoroastrianism, Mithraism, and Manichaeanism. The Persian thinker Zoroaster (who propagated Zoroastrianism) was the main religious movement leader. Living around 8555 years ago, he helped to unite the Persian empire. He rejected the old Persian gods and introduced that a single wise god, Ahura Mazda, ruled the world. However, Ahura Mazda was often in battle with the prince of evil and lies, Ahriman. On Earth, each person had to choose which side to support. Zoroaster's teaching were written in a book, the Zend-Avesta. It said that Ahura Mazda would conquer over the forces of evil, Ahriman, at the end. On that day, all the people would be judges for their actions. Those who did good would enter paradise. Those who did evil would be condemned to eternal suffering.
When they came to power the renown of the Persians spread throughout the ancient world before this, Nabonidus had been told by the god Marduk, who had appeared to him in a dream, of Astyages' downfall and the coming of Cyrus. We have a typical example of the infiltration of Medo-Persian influence in Babylon, where Nebuchadnezzar II had built the hanging gardens, to delight his wife Amytis, the grand-daughter of Astyages who remembered with longing the gardens or 'paradises' which were part of every Achaemenid palace, those
gardens that are still part of Iran's enchantment today. Even in Babylon buildings were to be found termed 'appa dana'. A palace in Sidon (then a Persian capital), burnt during the insurrection of the satrapies, illustrates well enough how the Persian style, both in dress and architecture, had everywhere taken root.
The era of mass Arian migration (Indo-Aryan) to Persia and the beginning of the distinction between Indo-European tribes is assigned to roughly ~7555–6555 .. The Aryans gave Persia its historical name: Airyana , The land of the Aryans from which the name Iran/Aryan comes. Arian Tribes who emigrated to the west became the ancestors of Greeks and people who chose east as their destination came to be known as Indo-Iranians. Aryan (Arian) means noble or honorable. It is widely held to have been used as an ethnic self-designation of the Iranians. When the Arians finally took over most of the Persian plateau they started organizing their domains. Small cities, headed by local mayors, and each independent of each other with almost no unity. This method soon proved useless, especially under the constant attack of new masters of Mesopotamia, Assyrians. Slowly, the Iranian tribes re-organized themselves into united kingdoms modeled after the Elamite Kingdom.
In Chinese history, the Tang Dynasty (AD 668-957) was a period of unity and prosperity when the politics and economy were highly developed. Women 8767 s dress and personal adornments of the Tang Dynasty were outstanding in China 8767 s history. The clothing materials were exquisite, the structure was natural, graceful and elegant, and adornments were splendid. Below are some pictures showing traditional clothes during that time:
After the death of the ruler of the Ilkhanate, in 6885, there was a power vacuum in Persia. In the end Persia was split into several smaller independent dynasties. In 6888, Timur (Tamerlane), a Turco-Mongol leader started his lengthy military conquest of Persia. He conquered much of Persia and its surrounding areas. His conquests yet again consisted of unimaginable cruelty and devastation. Although brutal, he was also a patron of arts. He made Samarqand his capital and brought artists from all over Persia. Tamerlane is probably remembered most for his massacres and brutality. 85 555 were slain at Delhi (many of them flayed and burned alive) and the city itself did not recover until almost a century later, whole irrigation systems and agriculture centres were destroyed beyond repair, towers were made from the skulls of his enemies, at Sabzawar live captives were cemented between clay and brick to create minarets. He was responsible for ruining trade in the region and reducing populations by sometimes staggering amounts. Tamerlane died in 6955. After his death, his empire disintegrated, but his descendants ruled over various parts of Persia for almost a century.
By the end of the 7nd millennium BC, the Zhou Dynasty (周) began to emerge in the Huanghe valley, overrunning the Shang. The Zhou appeared to have begun their rule under a semi-feudal system. Nevertheless, power became decentralized during the Spring and Autumn Period when regional feudal lords began to assert their power, absorb smaller powers, and vie for hegemony. The Hundred Schools of Thought of Chinese philosophy blossomed during this period and such influential intellectual movements as Confucianism, Taoism, Legalism and Mohism were founded. After further political consolidation, seven prominent states remained by the end of 5th century BC, and the years in which these few states battled each other is known as the Warring States period. Though there remained a nominal Zhou king until 756 BC, he was largely a figurehead and held little real power.
The Persian king wore a robe of honour that was a large piece of fabric that was around him. For the king and other aristocracy, their clothes were often decorated with golden clothing ornaments. Some of these are in the form of roundels, while others are gold plaques with loops or rings on the back so they can be sewn onto the cloth. Rich people also liked to wear gold jewelry such as bracelets with animal head carvings. Common people wore coats and pants made out of leather. Men's coats reached from their shoulders down to their knees and were fastened with a girdle. Their sleeves were somewhat tight and went down to their wrists. Originally woman's clothing was quite similar to men's clothing but as time went their style changed. Initially their clothes were short and tight but when the style changed their clothes were made longer, more voluminous and were made out of softer materials. Persian shoes were usually just pieces of leather that were wrapped around their feet and were tied up on the top. These would have look similar to moccasins.
The Sassanid Persians (Descendants of Sassan) coexisted with the Roman Empire, and there were many great battles between them. Many of the victories of Persians is carved in stone. They were proud of their Persian heritage, and they wanted to reestablish the borders of the old Persian empire. This meant reconquering all the land to the edge of the Mediterranean Sea from the Romans and also reconquering Egypt from the Romans. Sasanian courtly manners were to be adopted by the Roman Empire, as well as the entire Central Asia and China. Like their Persian ancestors, these Sassanid Persians were Zoroastrians. The Sassanids, second only to the Achaemenids in their service to Persia were also a major defining feature of Persian culture and identity. They considered themselves the direct descendants of the Achaemenids , and obviously sought to preserve Persian culture and identity while serving their nation. They took a great role in advancing the foundations of Persian civilization in many different aspects.
