CORRIGAN -- Nellie Nell Ann Brazziel, lifetime resident of Corrigan, moved around a bit during and after WWII. She lived the last 55 years of her life in the house she was born in. Her grandfather, William Parnell Maxey, built the house before the Civil War. He and Mr. Hendry established Union Springs Church and School. Nell was a long time member of Union Springs Baptist Church and later joined Barnum Baptist Church with her husband, where she was a member for the last 95 years.
