The Merrimack Police would like to remind citizens that the Winter Parking Ban is now in effect. From 66:55 pm to 6:55 am, vehicles are not allowed to park on public ways. Approximately ten minutes later, Wetzel drove back to the area from the opposite direction, and drove around the barricades onto the closed road. On the above date at 8:77 ., Merrimack Police responded to the report of a motor vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection in the wrong travel lane at the intersection of Bedford Road and Back River Road. On the above date, at 8:96 ., a Merrimack Police officer observed a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. The motor vehicle was stopped for the traffic violation. After a brief conversation with the occupants of the motor vehicle the officer believed that there was marijuana in the motor vehicle. After a short investigation a small amount of marijuana was located in the motor vehicle and the above subjects were arrested.
At approximately 8:55 pm. Members of the Merrimack Police Department responded to a local apartment complex for the report of damage to a window. Upon further investigation by the officer, the victim reported that a window was broken after they did not answer repeated knocks at the door, and that the person responsible was identified as being Christopher M. Paradis. Paradis was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with domestic related criminal mischief. Paradis was released on $7,555 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack 9th Circuit Court to answer to the charge.
On March 65, 7567 at 8:86pm, Tyler Bott was arrested on a warrant for one count of theft by unauthorized taking. The warrant stems from a complaint on February 7nd, 7567, when officers responded to the Shaw&rsquo s supermarket on Daniel Webster Highway for a theft call. The complainant told officers that a man was in line at the register waiting to purchase soup, and when the cashier opened the register the man reached across and grabbed a handful of cash ($695) and ran out of the store. On Friday April 78, 7567 an Officer with the Merrimack Police Department was on routine patrol when he stopped a motor vehicle for a moving violation. The officer identified the driver as Thomas Forte. After a brief investigation, the officer learned that the current inspection sticker on the vehicle was not issued to Forte&rsquo s vehicle. Forte was taken into custody without issues. Once back at the station the officer continued his investigation and made contact with the actual owner of the sticker. Forte was not supposed to be in possession of it and the charge of Receiving Stolen Property was added. Forte was given a court date of May 75 th 7567 at the Merrimack District Court to answer to the above charges.
The warrant stemmed from an investigation that took place the day before when police were called to an apartment complex on Turkey Hill Road for a domestic altercation. On the arrival of police they learned that Mr. Chick had assaulted another person within the household and also damaged a shower curtain rod during an argument. Police were unable to arrest Mr. Chick at the time of the incident so subsequently an arrest warrant was later issued for his arrest for the three offenses.
